How Can severe Fever And Slow Heart Rate Be Treated?

Hi, my son is 11 years old. After he took a 7.5 mg Evekeo at noon for ADHD, his heart rate consistently has been around 115-125. An hour ago, we gave him Clonidine in hope to reduce his heart rate but his heart was 105 and started to have a fever. What should I do? Should I take him to ER? his BP is normal. Thank you

Hello,

Yes, this drug may cause increased heart rate.

If he is asymptomatic with tachycardia then no need to treat.

If he is symptomatic you may use beta blockers to reduce the heart rate.

Still no improvement please consult your treating doctor he will reduce the dose treat you with alternative medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
